Princess Cruises welcomed their next-generation and biggest-ever cruise ship, Sun Princess in early 2024 with a capacity to carry more than 4,000 passengers. As the first of two all-new Sphere-class vessels, Sun Princess is also the first ship in the fleet to be powered by Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) - this cleaner burning fuel will significantly reduce air emissions and marine gasoil to minimize our environmental footprint.
Sun Princess has a total of 2,157 cabins - including 50 suites and 100 connecting rooms - and will have more outdoor balcony space than any other ship in the Princess fleet. New features debuting on Sun Princess include the Signature Collection, a new level of suite accommodation where guests will have exclusive access to the Signature Restaurant, Signature Lounge and Signature Sun Deck, a private area of the adult-only retreat, The Sanctuary.
Located on the ship's top decks, Park19 is also set to make its debu t aboard Sun Princess. Park19 will feature nine outdoor family-friendly activities spread out on decks 19, 20 and 21. One of Park19's highlights is Sea Breeze, which is set to become the first roll glider at sea. The glass-enclosed dome is multilevel AND multipurpose: pool by sunlight, stage for shows by starlight - it features acrobatic performances created in partnership with the renowned Cirque Éloize.
In her second season, Sun Princess continues to sail the Western Mediterranean in the summer offering 7 night cruises from Barcelona to Gibraltar, Marseille, Genoa, Florence and Rome. She also offers 7 night cruises from Rome to Naples, Crete, Mykonos, Istanbul & Athens.
