Costa Venezia – now sailing as Carnival Venezia

Costa Venezia is a Vista Class cruise ship that can carry 5,260 passengers and 1,278 crew members onboard. As the name suggests, the ship is dedicated to the city of Venice. The extravagant flair of the lagoon city of Marco Polos and Casanovas travels with you and lets you immerse yourself in the hustle and bustle of the Venice Carnival.

Costa Venezia has been specially designed to showcase Italian food, lifestyle and culture, which is why the ship's atrium is modeled on the St Mark’s Square in Venice and there are a couple of real gondolas onboard. The Gondola Lounge is where travelers can have a virtual reality trip through the port city in a gondola and the Grand Canal Restaurant features a “canal-side” walk to admire the Bridge of Sighs - Ponte dei Sospiri.

For dining, Costa Venezia offers its guests a choice of 15 restaurants and 6 main bars. The ship has dedicated club lounges for teens and kids, including for toddlers. Every night there are shows in the theatre with a focus on Italian productions. Apart from live shows, guests can enjoy movies featured in the Venice Film Festival at the Lounge delle Stelle.

Costa Venezia (now Carnival Venezia) will make New York her homeport for the summer offering round trip cruises to the Caribbean Islands, Bermuda and to Canada and New England.
