Classic Air-Cruise to Antarctica
Plunge into polar waters and get a deep dive into Antarctica.
Antarctica is a frosted wilderness of glistening white as far as the eye can see. Fly and cruise on one of Antarctica 21’s wilderness expeditions to the white-continent through ice-filled fjords and spectacular icebergs. Experience natural ice sculptures like enormous works of avant-garde art. See whales, seals, and sea birds worthy of seafaring poems. Sail near monolithic glaciers and among scatterings of icebergs on your Antarctica 21 cruise onboard Ocean Nova. Astounding animal encounters – opportunities found nowhere else on earth. This is the modern explorer’s final frontier.
Antarctica21 was founded in 2003 by adventurers who believed there was a better way to travel to Antarctica. From the invention of the Antarctic air-cruise to the building of the first Antarctica21 ship, they continue in their quest for innovation and sustainability. As a boutique specialist, they design and deliver adventurous yet comfortable small-scale expeditions to Antarctica with the aim of creating the perfect balance between active exploration and high-quality hospitality.
Magellan Explorer is a modern expedition vessel custom built for Antarctica. Launched in 2019, the ship features a glass-enclosed observation lounge and presentation room with state-of-the-art audio visual equipment, a spacious and stylish dining room, well-stocked bar, library, meeting room, gym, sauna and a medical clinic. Magellan Explorer has seven categories of accommodation including dedicated single cabins. All cabins feature a wardrobe, an individually controlled heating system, a sitting area and a private bathroom with shower. The ship has a fleet of 10 Zodiac boats that are well suited for disembarking and wildlife watching.
