Covid-19 has transformed the world of cruising and brought a flourishing industry to a standstill for more than a year. There is light at the end of the tunnel where some of the major cruiseliners have announced resumption of cruises from June - July 2021 onwards on some of the ships in their fleet. A common thread for the safe resumption of cruising is that cruise liners will accept only fully vaccinated travellers onboard their ships (with a fully vaccinated crew) along with other health and safety measures in place. Norwegian Cruises

Norwegian Cruise Line is officially ready to sail again in summer 2021 in Europe and the Caribbean! NCL’s restart will begin with three ships:
NCL has implemented a robust Sail Safe Health & Safety Program which includes mandatory vaccination requirements for all guests and crew on all sailings through till 31st October 2021

Royal Caribbean

Royal Caribbean will be resuming sailings in the Caribbean with Adventure of the Seas and Vision of the Seas from June 2021 and in Europe with Jewel of the Seas from Cyprus:

Crystal Cruises
|

Crystal Cruises newest ship, Crystal Endeavour will launch cruises in Iceland, with five 10-day circumnavigations of the island. Beginning 17 July, the 200-passenger ship will offer round-trip sailings from the capital of Reykjavik with reduced capacity.
Among the inaugural itinerary highlights are overnight stays in Reykjavk and Akureyri; a call to Grimsey Island and a crossing of the Arctic Circle; the Arnarfjordur fjord, Dynjandi Waterfall and the geothermal springs of Vopnafjordur and Seydisfjordur.
The itineraries will operate during the region's peak whale migration season and will visit Iceland's whale-watching capital of Husavik and Heimaey, which is home to a beluga whale sanctuary.

Lindblad Expeditions
|
|
Lindblad Expeditions will resume cruises in Alaska and the Galapagos in June with sailings open to vaccinated adults and children 16 and under who test negative for Covid-19.
Lindblad will operate six- and eight-day itineraries in Alaska with two 100 passenger sister vessels, the National Geographic Quest and the National Geographic Venture with the first departure on 5th June and 6th June 2021 respectively.
The Galapagos cruises will begin on 4 June with 10-day itineraries on the 96-passenger National Geographic Endeavour ll.
