This is the best time to embark on a cruise vacation with cruise lines reinventing themselves by raising the bar on passenger experiences to attract new demographics of travellers to cruising. High-quality restaurants, world class entertainment, unique ‘industry first’ activities onboard, new destinations, sustainable practices and more are just some of the compelling guest experiences offered by the cruise lines.
Cruise lines have been launching new ships almost every other month since the two year pandemic setback. From 2022 onwards, the industry has seen the addition of Costa Toscana, Wonder of the Seas, Celebrity Beyond, Discovery Princess, Disney Wish, Norwegian Prima & Viva and MSC World Europa to name a few that have re-defined the future of cruising.
And 2024 will kick start with the world's new largest ship, Icon of the Seas launching on 27th Jan in the Caribbean. Other major launches this year include Sun Princess, Celebrity Ascent, Queen Anne (Cunard) and Carnival Jubilee. We present sailing itineraries of the newest ships that will set sail this year.
Launching in Jan '24, Royal Caribbean's Icon of the Seas will be the largest cruise ship in the world. The ship has largest waterpark at sea along with seven pools and nine whirlpools. Icon of the Seas has an assortment of more than 20 restaurants, 15 bars and a number of live-events, thrill and leisure options. Icon has returned with a Flow Rider, surfing simulator positioned at the aft-starboard on the top deck, an island-themed Mini-Golf Course, Lost Dunes, Rock-Climbing Walls, Ice-Rink Arena, Absolute Zero and lots more.
Icon of the Seas will homeport year-round in Miami offering 7 night cruises to the Eastern and Western Caribbean with ports of call including the Bahamas, Mexico, Honduras St. Maarten, and St. Thomas.
